Visible abroad: $10 a day in 140+ countries, and Mexico and Canada priced separately

Visible charges by the day abroad: Global Pass is $10 a day in over 140 countries, with unlimited talk and text and 2 GB of high-speed data. Visible+ and Visible+ Pro include days, and annual members get them all at once. Mexico and Canada are priced separately. What does one Global Pass day include?

• Unlimited talk and text in 140+ countries
• 2 GB of high-speed data, with mobile hotspot
• After 2 GB in a day, speeds drop for the rest of that day

Two gigabytes a day is generous by roaming standards. Most carriers either give you a monthly bucket a video call can drain in a week, or slow you from the start.

Which Visible plans include days?

Monthly members can bank up to 12 unused days. Annual members get their days “as soon as annual payment is made,” which is the detail worth planning around: an annual Visible+ member can take a ten-day trip in their first week and pay nothing for it.

What about Mexico and Canada?

They’re a separate pass that also covers Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, and they don’t use Global Pass days:

• Visible (base plan): $5 a day
• Visible+ and Visible+ Pro: included

If your travel is mostly cross-border North America, the upgraded plans make Visible’s international story better than the Global Pass price suggests. On the base plan, it’s $5 a day.

When is Global Pass the wrong tool?

The day-based model flips at a predictable point:

• Short trips: Global Pass is hard to beat, especially on included or banked days, and your own number keeps working for two-factor codes and iMessage.
• Long trips: at $10 a day, two weeks is $140. Price a destination eSIM for the same trip before you buy passes; roaming vs eSIM does that for Europe and Japan.
• You need a local number: Global Pass keeps your US number and doesn’t give you a local one, which some countries want for deliveries, banking or bookings.
• Heavy daily data: 2 GB a day is real, but tethering a laptop all day will hit the slowdown.

What to check before flying

• How many included or banked days you actually have, in the app.
• That your destination is on the 140+ list.
