Xfinity Mobile abroad: 215+ destinations included, slowed after 10 GB a month

Xfinity Mobile includes talk, text and data in 215+ destinations on both of its plans, with data speeds reduced after 10 GB a month. There’s no pass to buy and no daily rate. I was an Xfinity Mobile customer and left, but I never took the line overseas, so this is their published terms rather than a trip report, read on September 22, 2026.

What does Xfinity Mobile include abroad?

Both current plans, Mobile Select and Mobile Plus, include talk, text and data in 215+ destinations as part of the plan. The fine print on xfinity.com/learn/mobile sets the limit: “International data speeds reduced after 10 GB usage/month.”

Xfinity’s own page frames it against carriers that “charge up to $12 per day” for international passes. On the evidence in the roaming comparison, that’s fair for short and medium trips.

How does it compare on a month abroad?

Short trips hide the difference. A month is where a daily rate stops being a rounding error:

Visible’s $10 a day is fine for a week and absurd for a sabbatical, and Mint’s passes scale the same way from a lower base. Xfinity, T-Mobile and US Mobile Premium charge nothing at either length, so between those three the question is the allowance rather than the price. Over a month, Xfinity’s 10 GB works out to a third of a gigabyte a day, which the comparison table flags as thin. US Mobile Premium’s 20 GB goes further, though on Warp, its Verizon network, US Mobile lists 125+ roaming destinations against 180+ on its T-Mobile network. The comparison table runs every trip length from three days to a month.

If you travel abroad a few times a year for a week or two, this benefit can be worth more than the difference between Xfinity’s price and a cheaper carrier’s. That is a real argument for staying, and this site would be dishonest to leave it out.

What’s the catch?

The roaming is good. The pricing structure around it is the reason people leave anyway:

• You must be an Xfinity Internet customer. The page says Xfinity Mobile “is exclusively available to Xfinity Internet members,” and the free-line offer is for new mobile customers with 300 Mbps internet or above.
• The advertised price already includes a $10/mo internet-customer discount. It isn’t a saving you’re about to get; it’s a condition you’re already meeting.
• Mobile Select goes from free to $30/mo after a year. Mobile Plus goes from $15/mo to $45. That is the steepest jump on the price cliff table, tied with Spectrum’s plans.

So the honest framing: Xfinity’s roaming is among the better inclusions in this comparison, and it’s attached to a product that goes from free to $30 (or $15 to $45) at the twelve-month mark and requires you to keep buying Comcast’s home internet.

How is it different from Spectrum Mobile?

Spectrum Mobile also runs on Verizon, also requires the company’s home internet, also gives the first line away for twelve months, and also includes talk, text and data in 215+ countries. Two differences matter:

• Spectrum’s base plan doesn’t roam. Roaming starts at Unlimited Plus, so the cheapest Spectrum tier that travels is $40 a month. Both Xfinity plans roam.
• The allowances differ by tier. Spectrum Unlimited Plus slows after 10 GB abroad, the same as Xfinity. Unlimited Plus Premium goes to 20 GB.

Leaving Spectrum reads their plan page the same way this page reads Xfinity’s.

Who should actually stay for this?

• You already have Xfinity Internet and intend to keep it.
• You travel internationally several times a year.
• You’d otherwise be buying travel eSIMs or daily passes each time.

If all three are true, run the arithmetic before switching. Two week-long trips a year on a daily-pass carrier is real money. If only the first is true, the roaming is a benefit you rarely use, and the price after year one is what matters.

What published terms can’t tell you

How fast the first 10 GB actually is, and how usable the reduced speed is after it. Nothing on a pricing page distinguishes a good roaming partner from a bad one, and it varies by country.
